Board Member Resumes'

David Sharpe

My name is Dave (David) Sharpe. My wife (Judy) and I bought our home in CN back in 2007. I have been a full-time resident of CN since 2020.

I served as a CN Board Member in the past and was successful having our insurance quoted after 30+ yrs. never being reviewed. Also, I succeeded in getting a new (competent) Financial Consultant, which led to many positive changes. I made many attempts to create a Reserve Account but couldn’t get the board to approve it. We now have one because we learned, the hard way, what happens when you have a fire like 2016, and we had no reserve funds. Also, I have served on the CN Budget Committee for the last two yrs.

While I was a Board member, I started the Firewise Program, which brought CN over $40,000 in State and Federal funds.

I have served as President of a POA in Marietta, GA; 5 yrs as President of a large Condo Association in Vonore, TN; served on many boards of charitable organizations.

Professionally, I have been an Industrial, Environmental and Purchasing Engineer, and Rental real estate owner/ manager. I was part owner of a $700,00,000 Electrical/Electronics company headquartered in Atlanta, GA.

I feel confident that I can bring new ideas to the Board and since I live here, I can be available to address issues as they arise. One of our major short comings is the lack of residents serving on the board.

I would love to serve our POA members in CN.

Thanks Dave Sharpe

Andrew Settle

My name is Andrew Settle, and I serve as the Secretary of the Board for Deer Ridge Mountain Resort. I've also been a member of the Cobbly Nob board for the past two years. In addition to my role as CEO at the YMCA of Harrison County, my wife Sarah and I manage and own properties C-104 and E-104 and oversee C-107.

With a strong background in construction, I bring valuable expertise in managing residential and commercial projects, further enhancing my contributions to the community. Before my impactful tenure at the YMCA, I served as the Vice President of Business Development at Family Ark, a nonprofit dedicated to family and children's services in southern Indiana.

My commitment to the community extends beyond my professional life. I have actively contributed to organizations such as the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. A proud graduate of the University of Louisville, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree and actively support the university's football and men's basketball teams.

Beyond my professional, philanthropic, and construction roles, I am deeply involved in community service, participating in various boards and advisory committees. Family is central to my values, and my wife Sarah and I take pride in being parents to three children. Outside the boardroom, you can often find me passionately cheering for my children's sports teams or offering my coaching expertise to Providence High School's girls basketball team.

What I received seems to be incomplete. I only received a resume/statement from one nominee. I also didn't receive a ballot envelope with a signature space. I guess I'll just sign the envelope and send it in...

Call James to see what you need to do. I know in the past they have thrown away incomplete returns.
